Eveyone Asks Me "What Is Hyrox?"

I used to think I was behind… turns out I was just early.

I did my first Hyrox in Cancun in February 2025.

It was the most amazing experience!

Since then so many people have asked me, “what is Hyrox?”

Hyrox is an indoor fitness race that alternates between running and physical challenges.

Participants are called “Athletes”.

Athletes complete a total of eight 1,000-meter runs.

After each run, you enter a transition space called the Rox Zone before hitting a specific workout station.

The eight workout stations feature:

  • SkiErg

  • Sled push

  • Sled pull

  • Burpee broad jumps

  • Rowing

  • Farmer's carry

  • Sandbag lunges

  • Wall balls

Participants can walk or take breaks during any part of the course.

The goal of my first race was simple.

Finish.

Period.

I was shocked when I made the podium.

I documented my journey.

Want to know what I discovered?

My Hyrox Training Plan is here.
